HOW DO I DRESS MY CHANGING BODY AS I AGE?

Dressing a body that’s changing can feel impossible. A women’s body undergoes many changes as it ages, transforming almost every part of you. Women with dominant estrogen will tend to gain weight on the hips and thighs. As estrogen decreases during menopause, weight tends to move to the torso and stomach. Hormone changes can change your basic body structure. Whether you’re experiencing body changes because of pregnancy, weight gain or loss, or hormonal shifts, it gets harder to know what to buy, what to get rid of, and how to build a wardrobe that will change with you. Constantly replacing your wardrobe is expensive and frustrating. The extra negative to this is the frustration can result in body image issues and low self-esteem. If you are noticing that certain clothing shapes and styles no longer feel the same, it may be time to consider some style changes. It is important to understand your body type and determine the styles, colors and patterns that you love. I am a true believer in “Look good, feel good”. Aim to build a wardrobe of clothes that you love, and love wearing for the way they make you look and feel. This will give you confidence to be who you want to be and go out into the world happy in your skin knowing that you look fabulous.
